Meet Lexi, the Eastern Wellness Educator of Refined Remedy

Wellness Educator Lexi Lindell

Hi! I’m Lexi Lindell— the founder of Refined Remedy. Years ago as a Lieutenant in the Coast Guard I had back-to-back assignments that were understaffed. I began to feel really burnt out, but I recognized that my yoga practice helped me to reduce stress.

It became really hard to catch my favorite yoga classes since I was working a lot of long night shifts as a search and rescue coordinator. When I turned to the internet for yoga classes I was totally overwhelmed. It was difficult to tell who was legit and who wasn’t. I wanted to learn how to properly sequence yoga classes so I could practice on my own at home.

Coast Guard Officer Turned Yoga Teacher

To be honest I never planned on becoming a yoga teacher. Before I knew it, friends and family started asking me for advice about yoga, and meditation (especially after I completed yoga teacher training). Then in 2019 when COVID created unprecedented levels of uncertainty in everyone’s lives there was a clear increase in interest among essential workers to improve overall wellness with yoga.

Once I started seeing the incredible progress of my students I knew there was no turning back! I realized what I created with Refined Remedy is so worthwhile for this growing community of heroes, healers, and overachievers because when you feel support from someone who can relate to you, you feel truly seen, heard, and understood.

That’s why I created Refined Remedy. That’s why Refined Remedy’s virtual library is filled with classes designed to accommodate the demanding schedules of front-line personnel & first responders. That’s why all the mindfulness exercises I teach are super simple.

It’s my goal to make mindfulness enjoyable and accessible. I will never judge you for being busy, I get it. I know it can be difficult to make time for self-care when you’re working 80+ hours a week and your schedule is different from the normal 9-5.

I know you might be thinking “I’m too busy for this stuff.” I’ve been there! Exploring mindfulness can seem like a big, intimidating task that takes a lot of time, but it doesn’t have to be. It’s FINALLY time to stop giving all of your energy to others.

It’s time to recharge and move forward with new healthy habits to avoid overwhelm.

I know what you need, and I’m here to help.

Movement Meditation Medicine.

For me, yoga started as an exercise class but developed into a much deeper journey of self-awareness and self-care. Through consistent practice, you too will develop a sense of self-awareness, and self-worth that will impact your everyday life and help you to achieve your highest goals. Practicing yoga made me realize that a lot of the self-sacrifice associated with being an essential worker was starting to turn into self-neglect.

I was experiencing several health issues that would not resolve so I decided to try something new. After experiencing impressive health improvements during acupuncture treatments, I became fascinated with Traditional Chinese Medicine. So much so, I decided to depart the military and learn to help people in a totally new way. I’m currently enrolled as a student at the New England School of Acupuncture pursuing a dual Master’s and Doctoral degree to become a licensed acupuncturist.

I’m passionate when it comes to helping people prioritize their health. I know how easy it is to think self-care is a luxury, but that’s not true. I’m here to help you incorporate simple self-care into your daily routine. Follow along if you’re interested in learning about yoga, qi gong, breath-work, meditation, and acupuncture!

Together we’ll get on a path that’s filled with more mindfulness and less stress.
